To apologize, it takes more courage than bashing someone in this forum. But to be honest and speak truth, .. it takes much more than courage than to bluff. I saw some of your post on this forum and you just contradicted them all with this so called “last and final” note.
For now I will vote to remove the ban on your id but its not a bad idea for you to look at yourself and think about what you were doing in this forum for past several days and promise yourself not to repeat the same. Try to be honest about your posts and that would go a long way in this partnership

Again what is the point in moving to Canada just because you are tired in waiting here. Are you going to do the same job in Canada. If yes, I would do that here.
For me, only person who could move to Canada is:
1. Way better career jump.
2. Do not have wavery mind of coming back to US. If happens come back, but do not start with that as you will not lead happy life.
3. Keep the GC processing alive in US.
I think Canada might be a good option for some ppl. Here are some reasons:
You move to canada, have greater flexibility to change jobs, your wife gets to work, in the meanwhile your employer lets the GC process continue. This way, you live a free life until you get a GC. But I seriously doubt if any employer will continue to process GC if you leave the country.
Or you have waited long enough and are too tired to wait any longer. You would rather be elsewhere. In this case it doesn't matter where you go, Canada or back home.
Another good reason can be that you have waited for 8-10 years in US and have no hope in sight. You are not tired but you can clearly see that the wait is completely futile and you are just hoping. You have decided to stop waiting but still want something that's close to US standards. And I think canada still comes very close to good standards.
What do you guys think?

Yes, we need more help from the media. That is why we have the media event - press conference on Tuesday June 8th. We need members to be there to show a good representation of EB-Community. Apart from that we need to send these emails/letters to media and the reps in 1000's everyday, so that we get the attention we deserve. Thank you everybody that is participating and sending emails every day. We can also print out and send letters.

I recently applied under 0213. I agree process is not as complicated as it sounds also I am not sure what value add a lawyer will do apart from keying information from you in the forms. My suggestion - do it on your own. Use this forum Skilled Worker / Professional Immigration (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/skilled-worker-professional-immigration-b4.0/)
and this step by step guide
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf
Can you please provide the reference through whom you applied? I thought 0213 category is not eligible anymore.

One more question.
Where do you file if you are filing at the Texas Service Center?
It says:
USCIS Texas Service Center
P.O. Box 851182
Mesquite, TX 75185-1182
However Fedex/UPS will not deliver to PO Boxes. So does that mean we can send it ONLY via USPS?

I know IV is doing its best and there are other groups fighting for HR 5882.
But honestly, what are the chances for this bill to succeed this year (before election)?
-- The July 2007 visa bulletin reversal.
-- FBI name check
-- 2 yr EAD
These are all changes that happened because people brought it to the attention of lawmaker and administrators. Before I get complaints, I am not saying IV solely gets credit for it. Whatever the mechanism for change, it happened because the immigrant community worked together and fought to get relief.
We have to continue to work together, otherwise its status quo and be stuck in the mess.

Why don't we concentrate on state chapters.. that surely makes some big difference. We were able to apply for I-140 and I-485 thats a huge blessing. But do we have enough time to motivate our EB friends to join us and meet the law makers, signing letters etc... If we have many active members we would have achieved something.

The SKIL bill was introduced in the Senate in May by Senator John
Cornyn (R-
TX) and was subsequently incorporated into the Comprehensive
Immigration Act
of 2006. We discussed its effects on the H-1B and EB categories in the
June
2006 issue of SHUSTERMAN'S IMMIGRATION UPDATE. See
http://shusterman.com/toc-siu.html
Although the legalization and guest worker provisions of the Senate
bill
have been written off by many pundits, we believe that there is an
excellent
chance that some version of the SKIL bill will be enacted into law
before the
end of 2006.

This is the newslink what we discussed earlier on IEEE-USA's view on CIR:
http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/news/21...oreign-workers
This says "Combined with the H-1B visa increases, the Senate bill also includes "substantial increases" in legal permanent immigrant admissions that could have a major impact on the US IT workforce and engineering enterprise, according to IEEE-USA."
IEEE-USA must know the current increase of EB visas in CIR was mainly warranted due to the current backlogs in labor and due to retrogression.
IEEE-USA when issuing statement like this, should understand that making people wait 5-8 years for adjudication is simply unfair.
Let IEEE-USA vouch to reform H-1B later and work to clear the backlogs and retrogression first.
I was a member of IEEE(then eventually IEEE-USA) for 8 years. I cancelled my membership 6 months ago after reading statements issued against us. I have nothing to do with them and I am not going to pay a dime to them in future...

They do have per country limits. But the none of those countries have used up the 7% allocated for those individual states before the the total number of visas ran out. In other words none of those countries had applicants to consume the full 7% but collectively used up the the total number of visas.
But in the case of the countries like India, china etc they have actually used up the total 7% of the visas per country.
hang on.. but they are...as retroed as the rest of them...ROW and philpines are both AUG 02 for EB3.... ROW EB3 has been retroed for months and months.
that doesnt make any sence to me.?
so the ROW countries have no per county limits??? then why are they retroed??????

I am sure IV core, volunteers and other helpful folks have in the past and continually trying to contact various media agencies and channels to get the necessary coverage.
I think even after the rally, we should still continue to contact these agencies/tv channel websites (by sending them emails maybe.. calling them..) until they know the intensity & urgency of the issue.
Im sure one email will not suffice. The sheer number can make the difference and get their attention.
While the IV core thinks & works on about the future roadmap, I think all the members can try to contact these channels and then direct them to IV core for proper information...
Do you think this may make some difference and add any value to the movement.
Any other suggestions? Is this doable??
