My Certified Mail to Ombudsman was actually delivered at DC on Sep 2nd 7:52 AM. Today is Sep 16th , so far no reply.
Will keep you updated if anything happens to my 140 - Anyone else need any help sending 7001 to Ombudsman ?

I received a letter from Ombudsman's office last week (1 month after I sent them Form 7001) informing that they have initiated an inquiry with USCIS and will get back to me within 45 days. Will keep you posted if I receive any response.

Not eligible at the current time? If your circumstances change and you become eligible after you file your 2007 federal tax return, you can always file an amended return using Form 1040X. If you're not eligible this year but you become eligible next year, you can claim the economic stimulus payment next year on your 2008 tax return.
Guys as it states both you and your spouse need to have an SSN not ITIN.
So if one has ssn other has ITIN you are not qualified.

If you do not mind, have you donated to IV?
It is not a big deal dude...if not for this immigration system, we could be making even more..think about $80-$100/hr if you are an independent contractor. This a minimum for a decent contract with vendor directly.
And if you have ~100-200K for investments, with some experience and any luck..you could be making another 100K out of it from trading and active investing in other areas. That comes to ~250-300K minimum. There are no bounds when life is free and in this great country. Unfortunately, things have turned discriminative and our potentials are being restricted(atleast for non-EAD guys) and you have to be prepared for getting outright kicked out of this country.

It will be great if everyone who comes to IV contributes. That would be the ideal case scenario. But I think if there were specific donation drives like the one that is on going, then I believe a lot of people who believe in that cause would contribute and others who dont, wont!
Now, in this donor's only club that IV is proposing to have, what does the core have in mind. Is that going to be a forum where exclusive information is provided? What is the incentive for a "donor" to visit the general public forum? If the "donor"s dont visit the general forum arent you effectively killing off the general forum?
Like I had posted earlier, what stops a donor from making whatever is there in the donors only forum made available to everyone? Isnt this going to cause more divisions within IV?
Instead of forum for donors wouldnt it make more sense to have additional features made available to donors? Say, like having the ability to ask questions to a immigration lawyer or if any lawmaker is ready to answer quetions, the ability to post questions to them. I can't believe this is how it feels to be sooo close to achieving your dream - regardless of how hard we've had to fight.....
Congratulations to each and everyone of you in EB2-India and China that have been pushing and clawing your way (just like I have) to get your greencards. While my PD is a month away - I am so glad for you. Get ready to go on a loooooong break (mentally, emotionally, and physically if possible as well).
I have been saving up every penny of my disposable income (after the shopping and eating out and everything else!) to go do the things I've wanted:
Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro
Spend 3 months with my family in India and Dubai
Go back to Culinary School
Go to Bordeaux and learn about wine
Become an amazing photographer (just like one of the members on this forum...)
The list goes on and on....
But most of all - I can't believe that the moment is here for almost ALL of us to be free of the shackles and really really live our lives. Others who have not yet acted on this, please go to that thread; download the 4 letters and mail them.
As many people mentioned here and other web sites, the denials are continuing and we need to act now to stop this before it gets even worse.

My address that they had on file was also an old one, from 2 years ago. I have since moved, and done the online AR15 thing and received my EAD at the new address, so I'm not sure why/how the system showed the old address.

I am guessing that your EAD was driven by the address which you provided while applying for it. CIS may not confirm what's on file, when there is already an address mentioned in application itself.

helpless situation. Got to stay cool :cool:
I was cool till last month. But, now it has been over 6 months for me and everytime I call them up they just tell me to wait or just end up with a stupid answer. I mean, there is a limit to ones patience. I had to ask my parents to postpone my sister's wedding, which was to be held in November and was thinking that I will get my AP by February. But, so far nothing yet. I can't just ask them to keep on postponing the wedding plan every now and then. It's so fuckin frustrating :mad::mad:

In suport of the view they are totally chaotic: RIR here, priority date is in April 2002, 45-day letter was received & replied to in February 2005 (15+ months ago), heard nothing from them since then. Lawyer started process for 7th year extension.
